She might've got it from here: http://www.logodesignlove.com/death-pop-logos If not, it's a similar concept. Possibly intended as mockery by the designer, but on Gaga, I think it expresses that she loves both metal and pop. Note that "Lady Gaga" is one of the "death pop" logos...
