Dummies in DWAS music video are a nuclear apocalypse reference (kind of)

We all can see those dummies populating the set where Gaga and Bruno are performing the song in DWAS music video. That particular use of dummies reminded me of those infamous images taken during nuclear tests in 1955 where they also used dummies to observe the effects of nuclear explosion. Considering the "End of the World" theme being prominent in the song, I thought the reference was quite obvious. All the more so since those nuclear tests happened at the Nevada Test Site, some 100 km north of Las Vegas, where both Gaga and Bruno had their own shows this year. I was thinking about this too! Imagine the video being set in a fake-y town in the desert with scenes of them performing in a saloon or an outdoor stage and at the end they put sunglasses on and watch the apocalypse like it's a sunset

I've been wondering if there's a connection there because the 3 clocks in the beginning show New York (Gaga), Honolulu (Bruno) and Fresno? But I don't know about any connection between Fresno and the theme of it

Oh yeah, that actually makes more sense  I at first thought it was where the video was supposed to be set, so I'd been searching around for nuclear facilities or history

director was born in Texas but grew up in LA, California  no mention of Fresno though

are any of these names relevant to the project?

when the set stylist of the video posted on ig (the pictures and the statement about the fake cigarettes, you remember?) she tagged the location as "1952" wich also plays into that theory...
