PartySick 172,536 Posted August 20, 2024 Share Posted August 20, 2024 My only criticism so far (again, haven't seen the speeches yet) is the whole theme of Kamala's campaign seems to be "we aren't going back" so it's a little weird to them invite establishment Dems like Clinton (Bill and Hillary) or Obama to speak. Especially when we have people like AOC or Ilhan Omar (who just won a massive electoral victory). Kamala shouldn't only be taking the torch passed by Joe. Her candidacy and presidency should be about millennials and gen z taking the lead of the Dem party imo. This would be such a powerful time to lean on the wisdom of those before us who stand behind us while we speak.
