After some time, when most of the users know the song, they either have it in their own playlist or they skip it if they dislike it. Currently there is even the possibility that it goes #1 on the year-end chart of 2025 if it remains stable! It is cumulative, so we have the benefit that we start the year strong, a large hit at the end of the year (like DWAS in 2024) has less impact.
