That's actually not true, a lot of tracks in the low top 100 radios are getting +0.6 to +1.0 updates

I mean, both Perfect Illusion and Stupid Love freefell on Radio and off the Hot 100 much quicker than Disease and there were no immediate plans of servicing a 2nd single in either case.

MR and ROM both impacted Pop Radio like 2+ months after those songs peaked on the format, which puts us at early February, in line with all of her 2nd singles since ARTPOP which came/were planned to come out 1-2 weeks before the album (and in MR’s case, that was just a digital download release; it didn’t impact Radio until November 2016).

The big difference is she actually previewed a lot of songs from Joanne before it started, she went on a big radio promo tour and performed live events, release AYO + MR as promo song for going with the later as second single.

Chromatica also had a big anticipation with her doing promo, a lot of magazine covers, tour annoucement, we already had glimpse of songs.

Now we only have a song that is let's be honest performed quite bad in all international markets. While she tried very hard to make it trend on TikTok it didn't click a bit. It did its job as introducing the audience to the new art direction. And that's good considering how timing was the worst.

Her trying with new song early January and make it big before album drop, exactly how Ariana went from Yes And ? to WCBF would be the best scenario possible imo

DWAS is certified Platinum in Spain
