Gaga released a smash hit ballad with Bruno Mars in August, then she released a random jazz album in September, then got her image dragged to the pits with Joker, and only three weeks after released a new single. Everything was really messy. A lot of people don’t even know she got a new pop song released, and other parts of the public arent into her right now. Being optimistic, I think a new single in January will probably perform better, because it will be more distant of all this chaos. Also, I really believe the album will do great, even without smash hits. But really, I think she tried to showcase versatility releasing ballads, jazz and dark EDM songs all at once, but the result turn out to be all over the place. And it would elevate her on all ends. Including a top 10 debut for Harlequin. I have some straight friends who really like disease as a song but still have that Joker taste in their mouth and that’s based on the overall perception(they haven’t seen joker 2), so they aren’t so keen on blasting her music rn.
