Maybe they wanted to gauge how much organic interest there would be in a new solo Gaga song without promo. Because this would give them a good indication of how hard to push the next single that would launch the album.

 

I mean personally I think heavy promo is always the best way with her as people enjoy seeing her out there.

It’s also Xmas/thanksgiving/new years. Disease was giving an October dark pop anthem. I think they should have dropped it 10/18 instead of 10/25, as it was featured in a lot of Halloween playlists. The promo for lg7 should continue this week especially if the album is dropping in a month.

They should've released Happy Mistake as a single with a cute video, then... You don't do that with a lead single

I don’t think she cared that much tbh. And we shouldn’t expect a lot to happen for the third single. DWAS is carrying the album hard for the GP.
