It dropped off by its 68th day, but on its 63rd day it did 631,922 on Spotify Global. Of course, it’s hard to compare since Spotify has grown since 2020, it was NYE, and different days of the week pull different levels of streams, but it’s fair to say Disease is holding up much better on streaming vs. Stupid Love.

SL didn’t have to contend with the Xmas freeze, but regardless, it reached #11 on Pop and its sound was way more HAC + AC friendly, helping it reach a higher overall peak on Radio vs. Disease, and Radio also helped it stay in the Top 40 for several weeks on the Hot 100. Of course, once Radio dropped it, it fell hard and fast.

If there’s a 2nd (or 3rd if we’re counting DWAS now) single at all, I agree - 1 week before is the most likely. I could even see them waiting until release week (like Billie, Taylor, Ariana, etc.), but obviously I’d prefer a week before. 

Not sure on the MV strategy- in theory, holding off a week seems good but it didn’t have the desired impact for Disease IMO so better to just release it simultaneously.

Playlisting effect,  DWAS was not included on any NY Playlist, it could’ve been bigger and widen the gap. we’ll see if we can distance from #2 song starting today after the effect wears off.
