Did we get updated radio callouts? Sorry if I missed it…

On another radio related note, pop radio still doesn’t seem to be dropping disease. It’s top 20 stations’ spins are still pretty consistent even in the last week (peak Christmas) so the next week or two will be very telling if it can nab some spots on radio that were taken up by Christmas music.

Z100 is still supporting. Three spins today with 10 hours left in the day

I'm a little perplexed why Gaga's Christmas songs are not getting over 1M like many other artists? Especially that she sings Jazz...

She's much more a party / spooky season artist. She always has big boost on New Year and Halloween.

I feel like Gaga just doesn't click with GP with jazz and Christmas season oriented music tbh

December 2008:

- US Economy in the dumpster

- Housing market a nightmare

- US election sends ripples across the globe

- Lady Gaga has a collaboration that has been gaining steam on the charts for months and looks like it will top the Hot 100 for the first time during the last week of an unpopular presidency.

December 2024

- Us Economy in the dumpster

- Housing market is a nightmare

- US election sends ripples across the globe

I honestly hope for the good sake of LG7 as an album that she has moved on to more content and new song being pushed by January 11th tbh Not that I dislike Disease (on the contrary) but it's time to give more from this album, I mean it's out in 6/7 weeks, it's like tomorrow. This without even any kind of pre-orders yet.

So yeah I pray she has next single ready for being out in the next two weeks :holdmyhand: That said I still hope she will release some physical stuff attached to Disease, for a final push in charts.

I feel like this strategy is fine: points will be low, she’ll have accumulated a decent amount of Airplay, and since the promo has been pretty light, it won’t feel overexposed or desperate if they give it a push and release physicals in the New Year.

After years of other “fans” laughing at her lack of longevity because of Chart runs like Stupid Love, it’d be great to see Disease get a new peak its 8th / 9th week on the Hot 100.

I wouldn’t expect single 2 until 1 week before LG7. There’s no obvious benefit releasing sooner with Disease still getting spun on Radio and stable on streaming - 1 week before ensures any hype is actually translated to the album, and was the plan with ROM/ Chromatica.

Unless they don’t do a 2nd pre-album single like Joanne and other recent Interscope albums. I think that’d be dumb / unlikely given how long the window is between Disease and LG7 (PI to Joanne was only 1.5 months).

Beyoncé (#145) fell off 22 spots on Spotify Top Artists Global and was surpassed by Gwen Stefani (#144) in daily streams.

Beyoncé is almost leaving the Top 150 of Spotify Artists Global despite performing at the NFL Halftime show for Christmas with huge promotion from Netflix.

I personally don’t agree. DWAS, LG7 Lead, will likely still be going strong after Grammys and Valentine’s Day(plus NYE performance). It will likely also get a boost on album release day. Her and her team intentionally chose to do light promo for Disease and only market it via social media for viral growth. Likely to avoid burnout and fatigue before album release as she was in the spotlight for Harlequin and JFAD. Disease has been holding steady on radio and streaming. After the new years, as we approach a month out from album release. I anticipate there will be stronger marketing push on TV, Radio, podcasts, magazines, shows, etc. with performances of Disease and DWAS. I think Disease could repeak and do better than it has so far with some promo.

I wouldn’t expect LG7’s third single until around album release.

Let’s not compare Biden to Bush please. Biden will be remembered a lot more fondly with passing time and he has built a strong economic foundation meanwhile we were in the middle of the Great Recession in 2008. The housing market issues are nothing like they were with Bush’s.  Bush got us into a decades long war that we didn’t get out of until Biden. A better/interesting comparison was Biden was entering the White House as VP when Just Dance hit #1 and will be leaving as President might hit #1. Or that Gaga gave us an optimistic reassuring message that everything will be okay when Biden entered the executive branch and is now giving us a love song preparing us for the apocalypse as he leaves.

Yes, and?

She is still way more powerful than the 95% of artists ahead of her
