Great news that Disease re-entering the charts! Streaming makes a difference! Please stream Monsters—just 10K more streams could push it up a few spots. Every play counts, especially when you’re holding on to the lower half of the Top 100. I expect Disease will drop off the chart next week, only to make a comeback in January. A strong TV performance, album pre-orders, and a boost from physicals and merch might help it re-peak, but the climb ahead won’t be easy.

The fact it falls on radios lately (while getting incredible callout tbh) makes me think they are making space for next single very soon imo

With the risk of looking not very clever, how are the monthly listeners being updated daily? :franminervini:

The update is about comparing the update from one month ago. Day by day. That why you often fall hard the month after a big release (rolling effect)

The number updates daily, but it has a rolling effect of a month ago. So lets say a month ago she had 70 million, and now she has 100M, but the jump between those would all have happened in one day, and the rest of the month she wouldnt have gained anyone, she would have lost all of those today

Oh thanks! Being a charts ignorant and only knowing monthly rankings being updated once a month, this one looked weird :fan:

DWAS : 1 321 722 480 (+ 9 476 930)

Disease 93 929 911 ( + 826 317)

LG7 : 1 415 652 391

Disease is quite stable it was also doing in the 900k last Saturday and in the 800k last Sunday. Probably back to the +1M updates this week

@JustTea I think (based on a Reddit thread) that UGC on social media does not count but UGC on YouTube does because of the content ID copyright system. And I think it has to include at least either 30 seconds or 1 minute of the OG song or an official remix

I’m pretty sure it doesn’t count toward Billboard (as of 2019 or so) but it does toward certifications (if licensed).

I think this is how/why Bloody Mary only peaked at #41 despite being one of the most (maybe most?) consumed on-demand audios of 1H 2023. Under the old BB rules (which allowed songs like Harlem Shake to top the Hot 100 from viral UGC), Bloody Mary would’ve gone Top 10, if not #1 - and why a lot of fans were upset an official sped up remix and/or video was never released to capture all those streams going to UGC.

How is Santa Claus is Comin' to Town doing?

I can’t speak for chart performance, but I did one of those Christmas light display drive-thru attractions last night with my fiancé and I heard it playing from 4 different vehicles.

i was slayed.
