People say traditional promo isn’t effective in [insert year], yet will insist on putting an asterisk next to Million Reasons and Shallow because they reached their peaks following the SB and Oscars in 2017 and 2019 - several years after into the streaming era. It doesn’t work for most artists, but it always has and likely always will for Gaga, because it allows her to show off her art and talent in a way that a ~4 minute recording of a song can never compare to.

MR and Shallow are the easy examples, but Joanne was expected to open slowly with under 200k until she killed it on SNL and Carpool Karaoke release week. It isn’t just about sending a single to the top 5.

Funny that Disease is gaining traction on Tiktok with Arcane edits. I've always felt since first listen that it sounds a lot like Riot's music in recent years.

Something about the melodies, the hook and bass they use sound very similar, in a good way (I love Riot music).

Billie deserves this but I kinda wished interscope gives the same promo strategy with DWAS 🥹 I know the song is already huge in itself but can u imagine performing at SNL or even New Year shows
