PH Hot 100 was relaunched July 2024.

DWAS is currently tied with a local song for most weeks at #1 in 2024 (7 weeks).

It will be a very close call in the Dutch top 40. DWAS could get a 13th week at #1, becoming the 10th song ever to do so, but the lead is small. Gracie Abrams is closing in, but also Bruno/Rose are close, and expected to be in the top 3. Those 3 songs will be the top 3, but the margins are very close!

However that's just me as a little manager, Interscope did not even release physical copies for Disease as of yet.  At this point I am gonna convince myself they sacrificed Disease physical copies due to environmental concerns or something.

TikTok is also what is making / building Judas as one of Gaga's stronger hits in the 2020s. And not talking about Bloody Mary. And it shows as Judas is still one of her most daily streamed songs for ages while songs like TEOG and BTW are on the ground.

Exactly. I don't use it, but it's a true platform. People said the same about streaming.  People used to dismiss it because it was free, while paid purchases were considered real consumption. Yet here we are today where streaming is the #1 form of consumption

I’ve been streaming Disease all year sister, it’s one of the top songs on my Spotify wrapped. if anything I want the era to succeed. the recent chart performance for disease is what worries me  her US fanbase are practically non-existent

At this point being…? After LG3, 4, 5, and 6 all debuted at #1 + C2C and ASIB? Or, before she’s even announced the title, tracklist, release date, and physical / promo details?

So negative, when sure, there’s a chance even with her magnum opus + strong commercial performance, she could miss #1 because of Kendrick at the very least. But, who cares? Do we prefer a Witness (#1 debut) or HMHAS (#2 debut)?

No no no. She should not - and almost certainly will not - attach DWAS in any way. Had she kept silent, *maybe*, but she stated it was a standalone single and if songs like The Cure / Joanne (Piano) didn’t end up on an album released at her worst commercial point (and made sense thematically since The Cure was about healing and performed on its tour), DWAS is not touching the LG7 track list. 

I don’t care when the pre-order is, but a 2nd single in late Jan/early Feb is pretty guaranteed. The only thing I’d like to see change is at least 1 post-album single. We haven’t had that since GUY / BTW.

She is a promo sensitive artist and gets strong support on HAC/AC Radio, which is the type of music that helps give an album legs. “Hey Girl” (for 2017 AMAs / 2018 Grammys), and “Sine From Above”/“1000 Doves” (2021 Grammys after “911” in August) would’ve helped those albums quite a bit.
