It's a good song but the GP said no, which is ok, but time to move on to the next one.

I don’t think it’s time to discredit Disease yet. There’s about 25-30 songs in front of it on Billboard that will disappear in January (Christmas, Kendrick, Wicked). If it completely falls in January- yes, let’s move on. 

But it can pick up steam in the New Year, no? It’s not out of the realm of possibility that the album release won’t give it a boost. Or radio will switch DWAS with the “next single” (being Disease). 

The world didn’t reject it, there’s probably much of the discovery period to bring it up. 

Gaga has two songs that took 22 weeks to hit number 1, give it time.

I have no confident in second single doing well ngl, LG7 is gonna be for the arts not the charts type and I’m gonna be fine with that. At least she’s giving us new songs to listen to. It’s GP’s loss for not clicking with her.

It trully depends, maybe she has THAT hit song that will click. It wouldn't be the first time second single clicks more with general audience than lead single for an artist (Gaga included, she had that time with DWUW, MR and ROM)

With the album boost and hopefully more performances next year, I see Disease having 300-400 mln streams in the next 2 years. Christmas songs are also taking some streams from each song right now.

I think we are always forgetting the streams inflation on spotify while comparing SL with Disease, much more people are using spotify than in 2020 and the average streams of popular songs is way higher. So I won't say it's doing much better.

Songs with these big vocals seem to have a more limited reach nowadays. Girlfriend and Dancing in the shadows seem to have a more "soft" vocal approach that probably would go down better with the public, a less abrasive sound. If they make the right choice the second single can still be a success.
