vertigostick 2,141 Posted November 14 Share Posted November 14 (edited) I think it’s now safe to say Disease has been a flop The new version doesn’t seem to change anything, streaming numbers are not growing anymore and the Youtube views are terrible, it seems like it will take ages to reach 20m views Our only hope is that another performance with the pop/single version sometimes in the next 2 or 3 weeks goes viral in a major, surprising turn of event… Then the song might have a chance to climb back up the charts in January… But it seems quite unlikely at this point… Is the underperformance of Disease going to hurt the launch of LG7? I’m not sure… If the next single smashes, it shouldn’t be a problem. But if single number 2 performs as bad (or worse) as Disease, then it will be a wild mess. And even if it underperfored first, it’s now one of her strongest streaming hit right now, crashing BTW song daily numbers. - DWUW was meant to be far more commercial and before controversies happened it was actually performing better in reviews and streams than Applause. Cancelling Venus as single btw. - Millions Reason was a very slow burner but ended up being one of her biggest recent solo hit songs. Making PI a joke in charts. - ROM crashed SL as a hit, like not even a surprise. She bet everything from Chromatica's campaign on this song. I could totally see Gaga relaunching LG7 eras with bigger promo and new single early 2025 when Christmas freeze will be over.
