smitherz 2,106
I know we shouldn’t be concerned about charts and whatever, it’s just a lil embarrassing as a fan base after shitting on Katy Perry so aggressively lmao 5
LateToCult 39,633
Just purchased the extra versions of DWAS in iTunes BUT they didn’t download. They show up on my purchased history but on iTunes they still show up as available to purchase. The purchase hasn’t been charged to my Apple Card yet either. Usually it’s instant. Is this a glitch? Thank God for DWAS being her only win this year. Why so pessimistic and delusional, literal #1 jazz album etc... 6 hours ago, Naufri said: LG7 IS looking absolutely promising after Decrease. She's flopping, ok, but she's delivering a good song and an interesiting video. We are in the charts thread and we all would love her to have 5 top ten hits each era, but that's not they way it is for her for many albums now. She usually have to WORK to have a hit. Maybe Decrease is not gonna be that hit, but at least she's still delivering. BRAT hasn't had a real hit yet the album has been celebrated and succesful by lot of people. She's delivering good music and the success will come, and if It doesn't come at least she's flopping gracefully. For fks sake stop using "flop" so carelessly, we are not doing nearly as bad as Katy and the song hasn't even had a change yet...

It runs on longer cycles due to more spuratic audience tune ins It does also give oppurtunity for less songs to become radio hits. Many streaming hits wont be radio hits as a result cuz theres no room for all of them to become so unfortunately. But it does mean if it DOES become a hit it may remain one longer 3

We should be comfortable in our faves status in the industry. If someone else flops, let them, no need to laugh. Because it'll just backfire when it's Gaga's turn to flop. Nobody is immune to flopping 1

All her bigger hits since have consistently been collabs Not you falling to this Twitter OGH mess, while Million Reasons exists. It has basically the same amount of units sold as Applause. Also SL and The Cure and ARUTW are all considered solo hits even if they didn't smash, the are still widely known and that's what defines a hit after all... 3

But I dont think when users here refer to smash they aren't talking MR level success that after tones of promotion went top 10 for 1 week with itunes discount on superbowl week Or Stupid love which after 2 or 3 weeks was out of top 10 You can absolutely consider those hits... fair But when I said that it was in the context of was leveling to what ppl are expecting out of this lead wheb they say smash hit which is Bad Romance or Shallow level smash... which by those parameters I dont believe Gaga gets easily now as a Solo act (and again before ppl missquote me, i am NOT saying it CANT happen, just that its difficult) Edited October 30 by Economy
Naufri 7,158
Accepting the concept "solo" hits as something real was a mistake. I'm 40, and I've never heard of such a thing until Shallow smashed. NE VER Songs are hits or not, solo or not is absolutely irrelevant. Edited October 30 by Naufri 15 1

Like, ma'am its a collab with someone who has zero power in the music industry, the song was a hit because the movie was a hit and it smashed. Imagine saying Dua's Dance The Night is not a hit just because it was on Barbie. Sorcerer 12,043
Just noticed that the Disease MV doesn't tag "Disease" as Music on its info. Will the views still count as streams? Maybe that's why they had a delay posting it.
HermesGr 1,126
Chill guys. She fed u with that you wanted the most. Now, sit back n watch DWTS became her most successful song ever -i m sure- n her to continue fed you to satisfy your hungry for gagaism. F*** the numbers n the other fanbases n enjoy your fav as long as we have her. I personally loved Disease, not the video that much, but who cares. I m looking forward for her next songs, the album n the next eras visuals. Cool Edited October 30 by HermesGr

Swifties and beyhives created it cuz their favs could never replicate that level of success with one song ever Monsters fell in their tricks by accepting such dumb narrative Gaga is writer, performer, and producer Shallow, Rain On Me and Die With A Smile, she's the one who made those songs outstanding
