Juanlittlem 41,522
Its not a bad number, exactly in the range of what I expected, 5-6M. Now it needs to be stable in views and streams for the weekend and radio will boost it when the put it on rotation next week. River 104,846
Youtube is kinda dead so it’s a very good number. just consider that we’re not gonna see taylor numbers because her fans cheats the system, what we see now is the organic, real, number of a to be a hit song I could play the moderator, I can ban you, die sis.
Levine 22,381
Good good numbers consindering everything (surprise release for the GP, both artists haven't children for fans anymore who cheat and stream all the time, in many parts of the world people are still on vacation, radio are still playing summer songs, etc). With Gaga I've never cared about the debuts - I know they're important - because she proved many times that her songs win in the long distance. I think i only loved it after maybe 3 listens It could be better but it could be a lot worse. Tbh this is kind of in line with expectations. I imagined in the first 24H to hit a range of 5M to 10M views... it looks like it will end the day near 6M... its on the lower end of the range I was hoping for but still in the range it's definitely a grower. it grew on me. it's not a song that you get sick of easily. especially in the run up to christmas people will replay this fondly my head is filled with broken mirrors, so many I can't look away
StrawberryBlond 13,996
Good figures (especially likes), all things considered, especially it being a sudden announcement. Being a millenial, I still consider YouTube my only go-to for watching MVs but apparently, it's not most people's first choice anymore, so rest assured, the song is getting views, just not necessarily on YouTube predominantly. Remember the first Joker trailer? Its views on YouTube were good but views across all platforms went above and beyond when it was all put together and it's currently the most viewed trailer of the year. The second one hasn't done as well and views on both have died down massively but trailers will do that. As far as I can see, its 24h views are very similar to some of the biggest hits of this year. But they don't matter, when radio gets behind this massively, they will grow and grow. HMH, despite not being a massive hit by any stretch, has 261 million views in just 2 years. If Gaga can do that with a solo song for a soundtrack that didn't have any promo, can you imagine what she can do with an acclaimed mainstream ballad duetting with a huge name that has already done better in its first 24h? We're aiming for longevity. Always, always, always. 16 hours ago, Just A Holy Fool said: How did Woman’s World do in the first 24 hours? I'm such a nerd when it comes to following this stuff, so I've compiled these stats for comparison: first 24h - 3.4 million views, 271k likes day 2 - 5.4 million views, 314k likes day 3 - 6.8 million views, 336k likes day 4 - 7.7 million views, 351k likes day 5 - 8.4 million views, 361k likes day 6 - 9.0 million views, 369k likes day 7 - 9.6 million views, 376k likes week 2 - 11.3 million views, 398k likes 1 month - 13.5 million views, 419k likes So, DWAS did the same amount of views in 24h that it took Katy 2 days to achieve and in terms of likes...after a month and 4 days, Katy is still only at 422k likes for that song and they are barely registering now, DWAS is at 633k likes and rising in less than 2 days. At this rate, they'll beat Katy's monthly total views in less than a week.
