The song itself is BEAUTIFUL. Shallow doesn’t even compare musically. Both her and Bruno’s voices are heavenly and the song is so lovely without being cheesy. Not to mention Bruno has middle-aged women in a chokehold. Mother honestly won a Grammy with this before even being nominated. It’s that good.

I’m so happy people love it so much. I can’t even compare shallow and this, personally. Shallow was so dynamic and unique.

But again, very glad that this is being well received. It’s just for some reason not clicking with me

I think shallow's longevity is due to the movie. It was being slowly watched by more people at home after it was out. For example, I as a Gaga fan watched it on the movie theater, my mom watched it some years later and saved/listened to the song after watching it. I think that was the case for a lot of people, they got interested and watched the movie on streaming and then the song kept going. It's gonna be hard to do that with DWAS.

I highly doubt it but would be amazing for sure lol, would be very beneficial with a surprise VMA performance. The Oscars performance of Shallow is really what made it so iconic... more views than most of her music videos, everyone LOVED it, a cultural moment.

I don't think it's gonna be bigger than Shallow because ASIB was a great movie that made Shallow the hut it is and DWAS doesn't have that.

I do expect it to be a hit, though!!
