Suddenly I no longer feel (quite) as bad that she got ousted by LGBTQ+ people after the leave Britney alone video.

I agree it’s a refreshing take, but I reread it and really don’t agree with the very end. Both Trump and the party he represents have absolutely made statements that actively vilify members of the lgbtqia+ community, and have imposed legislation that directly harm them. So when people are saying that either hate the lgbtqia+ community… I do agree with that statement’s meaning because of the actions they are taking. Yes, at the dissolution of Roe V Wade, a Republican SCOTUS Judge called the ruling that gave us same-sex marriage into question. This is the problem with where we are, we very quickly forget recent events to revisionist history. I agree with everything until exactly the last three sentences, because Biden’s age and Saturday’s event do not suddenly change that those things are also true. 2024’s election for most people really comes down to aged militant nationalist, aged conspiracy theorist “centrist”, and aged with their cognitive ability in question. Unfortunately, that means casting my vote and considering the potential impact of a VP candidate as well.

That is really sad that she is so changed now, and weird for a trans to supprot someone like that.

And honestly, the judgement from the left which is often on display on this website is exhausting. Anyone who isn’t drastically liberal here is seen as bad- or called stupid etc.  Anyone who doesn’t demonize straight white men- or doesn’t believe in demonizing people, is seen as a trump supporter. 

 

Things suck for everyone right now. No one that isn’t rich can barely afford to live. Inflation has been insane for the past few years. The media constantly tries to put the working class against each other. The current administration has done nothing for us.
 

I’m not voting for trump. I never have. I never will. But yall saying he hates gay people is a lie. He has never said anything about hating gay people. He has never said he is taking gay marriage away- etc…. Get a grip. 

i do want to point out one of his agenda items is that he doesn't want schools to inform people about sexual orientation. when i was suicidal as a teen it would have been great to have my school debunk the idea that homosexuality was sinful. so he does have some harmful views for the community. and let's not even get started on trans rights, the agenda is trying to get rid of those left right and center...
