We had similar situation in my country - our prime minister (very Trump-like populist conservative and corrupted) was shot and almost died. It turned out he was shot by another white racist conservative, but the prime minister now started crusade against progressivism and liberalism. I'm afraid it would be the same with Trump. It all escalated to the J6 attack where his supporters had a near successful mission to slaughter active congress members. And now, the violence is echoing down onto him.
