this fact is so depressing

after LG7 and Joker, i'll probably depart the fanbase

there are so many artists that actually put in the work and have passion for their career

Are you joking or serious? Gaga is easily one of the hardest working and most passionate artists in a long long time.

If she stays on a 4-5 year album cycle I’m pretty okay with this if it means she’s healthy and happy with her musical career. Ofc I’d love to get more music, but these longer breaks are also good to discover different artists. I also know for certain each time she releases something I can reconnect with her. She also appears to have a really healthy relationship with her team and label how don’t push her to constantly release half baked projects :vegas:

Sure, she's done two movies, but she released a single studio album in 4 years, not even giving it the attention it deserves, something that one of the most passionate artists would never do

If the engagement and input you've recieved from her in the last couple of years works for you, that's  great.

However, there are fans who want more passion and involvement from her, and it's completely understandable that they have higher expectations (which they + me, will have to lower, clearly)

I don't expect LG8 until 2030 tbh :poot:

Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something?

4 years is the average span between pop star albums who actually put some form of effort into their craft, Gaga is not the anomaly here

why do people think they have to either stan or unstan, they can just be casual fans and come back when the next album cycle starts :alsemanche:

Trust me, some times it's better to just shut up. You're digging your own grave deeper and deeper with every comment lol

I'm just stating my disatisfaction with her interest in pop music lately which is valid, and i'm free to do that

If you're cool with her releasing every 4 years and delivering what to me seems like a half assed era, that's fine too

She obviously has yearly projects so that she doesn't literally go radio silent, career wise. But consIdering how other pop artists treat their career as a singer, it's quite dry to be a Gaga fan ever since 2017 especially regarding pop music. For example when we did get Chromatica, she abandoned the era quite soon, and instead reverted to using her IG to promote bunch of brands. So this is more of her lacking the passion and the drive for pop music and just releasing studio albums in general. To go 4 years without a studio album doesn't flow these days, and sooner or later it's going to show

Sorry to break it to you but the Chromatica and Joanne rollouts were more complete than what most streaming female artists are doing nowadays :poot:

complaining about it being a "half assed" era but ignoring the global pandemic in which she lost family members in :smh: it was intended to be a very full era but when the world shuts down... then what?

and don't use dua lipa as an example cus she got dragged left and right for constantly vacationing during the lockdowns

I have an opposing viewpoint and I consider Gaga one of the most passionate and driven artists in the world. Her last studio album came out 4 years ago, but she got involved in a lot of other projects. Her career is multifaceted and maybe your frustration comes from this split focus on pop music (and you’re entitled to feel this way).

I agree Chromatica wasn’t properly developed, but there were so many bigger things happening by that time. Also her health issues always have to be considered, we can’t know for sure what’s going on behind the curtains, whether she’s physically and mentally capable to do her work.

ARTPOP - Joanne: Three years.

Joanne - Chromatica: Four years.

Chromatica - LG7: Five (?) years.

Can't wait for LG8 in 2031! :vegas:
