I said what I said because the trend of songs becoming shorter to better fit into the algorithm. Not just doo-wop songs. Whether these songs are doo-wop or not, it's feeding into the trend. Sorry you're irritated though I mean yes its a trend. But the trend is essentially reverting to the original. Longer pop song lengths only came about when rock acts like Led Zeppelin exploded in popularity and were creating songs up to 10 minutes. And even after this, longer songs still got cut down to under 4 minutes if released for radio. So maybe it is fitting an algorithm, but its an algorithm that has more in common with pop music history than the longer tracks you talk about. If we're looking at music history like homie suggested; songs were 10, 20, 45 minutes long, sometimes hours long, and modern times made them shorter. My original post only suggested I enjoy longer songs and newer works are showing me some artists have forgotten they don't all have to be 2 minutes long. Thanks for questioning my bullsh*t and responding respectfully and with substance without questioning my intelligence. It's appreciated 💜 Edited June 8, 2024 by Roughhouse Dandy This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss.
