I totally relate. Pink Pony Club came on a random Spotify playlist a while back and so I love that song. But I checked out her album and nothing stuck. I love everything she is about and think she's super talented but idk if it's the tone of her voice or what but I couldn't get into it. 

Perhaps her 2nd album will be a change in tone!

She has a good (if average) voice, but her vibe is there, 100%

"Nothing stuck" perfectly sums up my POV from the debut album (love the cover art though 🤩)

GL,B is a bop for me. HIGH replay value. The subject matter, the instrumental, the vocal choices 🎶

Lead singles are encouraging... but also often lead to disappointment (obviously chosen to LEAD for a reason, as a group of people agree they are the "best" songs of the batch, from a marketing standpoint).

But I'm hopeful that, if nothing else, the rest of the songs from CR2 are not boring.

Because she, as a persona, is not boring 👏🏼

i wouldn’t say average imo. Listen to her tiny desk and also songs like Guilty Pleasure (the faux yodels are crazy), picture you, and GL,B for her falsettos. they’re hella hard to sing

Average was wrong word, my bad. I meant more like:

if I heard her on the radio, she wouldn’t necessarily stand out to me

the way LG, Bey, Adele, Billie or Amy would.

YET 💚 (still early days for her)
