I don’t think so. Adele is pretty well-intentioned all the time. I think she just meant “this is a song that people generally see as just a dance bop, but if you change the instrumentation of it you get something entirely brilliant”.

 

dont dig to deep in it. Most of the US people don’t even know who tf S Club 7 is and if anything she just gave them some exposure.

But the way that she sings it is almost exactly the way S Club sing it. It’s already sung as a ballad is it not? I fail to see her point.

Hateful? Maybe a bit Blunt but She Is talking about a ballad and saying you can turno It into a ballad!???

What does She intend to Say, She comes of as cocky tò me with her attitude and theres clearly prejudice for the group. A very weird take from her or Just uncalled, Say you like the Song and imagined It like dion ( or her would sing). Much nicer id Say ..

Honestly yeah it was always a ballad, but it's part of that very early 00s era where ballads were put against poppier beats vs a more simple piano/stripped ballad. So I get what she's saying.

I grew up on S Club 7 and even watched their TV show   you don't need to defend them to me. I still remember singing Reach in the cold assembly hall in primary school and doing all the actions they made up for us
