Looks like we won't be seeing Måns Zelmerlöw in any Eurovision context anytime soon. Since Melfest he has been in an ugly divorce. Yesterday he admitted a recent cocaine addiction and today it got revealed that his soon-to-be ex wife Ciara has reported him to the police for being violent with her.

Difficult to imagine that about him.

Yeah, I've been following it from the sidelines... I have to admit than Måns did seem very different in his energy during Melfest. Like normally I found him very down to earth in his fame, but now he seemed very cocky and almost god complex like. Ofc the amount of stress and bad personal stuff bts don't help.

It wasn't on mine either, but it's finally Eurovision time again and I've been missing discussing Eurovision here. So I spontaneously popped in.

I mean, you can always do it more often. Especially now, because I have 0 hype for Eurovision this year. :icant:

Yeah that is true. There have been some ups and downs, but over all I've been good thanks. How have you been?

I've been listening to all songs a few times now and my current favorites are Finland and Switzerland.
Malta has been stuck in my head for a while too.

I've been doing fine as well! Life goes on and on and on - Klara

Finland is my fave by far. The rest is cute, but the overall quality is very... Underwhelming. I hope the performances are gonna be good enough. We are heading back to Sweden likely anyways. :alsemanche:

Yeah, that didn't help at all... I just recently watched the final and got all my hate back from what happened, nnn. But also this year being the same thing all over again but just with way worse songs... :icant:

Just got done listening to all the songs and was a bit underwhelmed to find that only a few were my favourites this time, although none of them really set my world on fire. Poland, Montenegro, Armenia, Austria were fairly good and my ultimate fave is Israel although I don't know how to feel about that and I'm surprised they're still competing after the reception they got last year. But the song's amazing and sung beautifully, not gonna lie. But while I feel like I didn't love as many of the songs as I used to, on the whole, most of the songs were decent this year and usually I find Eurovision is a huge mixture of great, good, decent, mediocre and terrible. But this year, mostly just decent, which is refreshing. I'm also impressed that so many countries are choosing to sing in their native language this year. We've got subtitles now, so it's no big deal as long as it's translated and it provides the feeling of a genuine European contest this way.

The only question I have is, how on earth did that Australian entry get through? That song was so innuendo-ridden to the point of being massively uncomfortable. Surely there's some sort of board that makes sure that songs are appropriate? Because this is potentially the most x-rated song ever at Eurovision and it's crazy to think that the beat is similar to Sexy And I Know It which might encourage little kids to sing it when they don't know what the words mean.

Is this America/Cupcakevision? Is this Junior Eurovision? :Cautious:

We had far worse and explicit songs and stagings in Eurovision. If you don't want your children to see it or hear it, then don't let them watch it. :vegas:

Children just hear a song about milkshake, the fact grown ups sexualize it for them is kinda the problem here. We literally are on a Gaga forum were most of us were kids or teenagers that sang about riding disco sticks, now come on now. We are still doing fine after that aren't we?
