as i said, you either work with people like that if they are willing to and maybe something will change

There were death threats and violence (a protestor was knocked unconscious, another was threatened with a tazer). Not all were peaceful.

And something like UCLA and Columbia which involved vandalism is definitely not "protected speech".

I understand why the universities don't want the encampments. Once you allow them, they grow bigger and more problematic, and then when you want to remove them you end up with a national embarrassment/War zone type of intervention like it happened in UCLA where they had to use hundreds of police officers.

Those were fake tweets. They were community-noted on Twitter.

This is exactly what bothered me. Rather than showing the video, people were sharing fake tweets that were not his. How can people claim to be better than MAGA doing this?

Those fake tweets were a clear case of defamation. People can share the OG video, it's bad enough. No need to make up lies about anyone.

This is in my opinion the danger of doxing and the court of public opinion. Anyone can start a rumor with fake tweets, it spreads like widlfire and then when people google you that's what they find. So messed up.
