I kinda realized that yesterday. I remember the Sex Dreams demo leaked soooo long after ARTPOP. It was less than 3 years later, and 7 years happened since then

So interesting to see this perspective cause I think the exact opposite. She already treats herself like a legacy act. She reallyyyy needs to pump out some bangers for her next album otherwise she'll just be viewed as a respected artist of the past who is past her prime. 

SL only cracked top 5 and plummeted afterwards. Despite all the collabs and hype for chromatica, only ROM took off and even that was short lived. If LG7 doesn't smash or live up to expectations, I can totally see her not doing an album for 10+ years with the consensus being her music side is done for
