(Not me showing the OG Exorcist to my Mexican partner and him saying it was stupid but he likes new horror so ) I thought they did a great job for a prequel. It feels like an old horror movie. Just straight of story and no reliance on cheap jumpscares. yeah new horror films - well the mainstream ones have been so tacky. A24 (thought mainstream-ish) has been doing it right. Loving that concept! Will definitely check it out! I really appreciate the slow burners recently like The Blackcoat's Daughter, Barbarian, etc. Less/No CGI more story and suspense. Halloween OG will always be one of my top favs for that very reason. https://discord.gg/hausofdelulu (Home of the Babble On! with Bling Podcast)

Even Alien Covenant used practical aliens which were then replaced with cgi. But it does look good so far and the director is great.
Haiydar 317
If you want to see real horror with black magic then watch ‘Dabbe’ on Netflix. They’re Turkish horror films
