finished listening to The Anthology… there’s a lot to say but it’ll get lost in the sea of hate so i won’t waste my breathe or time sharing my thoughts. but i will say some of the standouts for me are going to be:

So Long, London, Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me, loml, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, The Black Dog, How Did It End?, I Hate It Here, The Prophecy, and The Manuscript.

Really like the first couple of songs so far. Also wow at her dropping a second album’s worth of material hours after lol. Pretty exciting and it’s making me like her even more. Material is just good and it just doesn’t stop coming.  I am expecting the hot 100 top 30 to be this album. Adele numbers for the album or close to for the billboard 200. We shall see.

So anyway. Do you guys think we’re getting another Bloody Mary variant vinyl this year? Halloween is around the corner. :excited2:

Listened to the first album and nothing impressive. Liked 4 songs. YAWN.

Not listening to the second part. Jesus.

Her sound has evolved so much, this is very much a Phoebe bridgers melancholy style, I guess for a dance pop fan site it doesn't sit as well with a lot of you guys but I love this.

Was really wanting to go into this with an open mind but it's just more of the same angsty, over-dramatic lyricism half spoken/sung over the music. Where's the artistic growth? Where's her new POV on her life? It really feels like she's rehashing old emotional trauma and milking it for all it's worth. This juvenile, petty, over-dramatic vibe from a 34-year old woman is not it, like please go through some therapy and come out a more well-rounded person girlie plz :toofunny:

Okay. Hi. First heard the first half on Wednesday. I was very uneasy about the record (the first 16).  Now I’m sitting doing some work listening in order. It grew on me same way as folklore

I’m a casual Swiftie. The first half didn’t grab me as quickly, but the second album half definitely did it for me. The first half is growing on me. I’m on my third of fourth listen so far.

It’s the kind of album I’d put on during a rainy day while having coffee. I’m not mad at it.

I've been casually listening since I got up for work this morning and after finishing the manuscript, this just solidifies my opinion that Taylor Swift is simply not for me :air: I have tried for years to get her song-writing, her production choices, hell even her story, but it just isn't connecting. Not back then and certainly not right now.

I know most of her fans are living for this 31 song odyssey so I'm happy for them, but I just can't get into her. And that's ok!

It feels like some of them are just fillers or recycled materials. I”ll go back to it later considering it has 31 songs. Maybe it”ll grow on me. Cowboy Carter is much better in terms of versatility of genres and productions and I’ve been listening to it 4 to 5 times.
