Americans are looking to get their money's worth and places like Red Lobster are cutting portions, finding cheaper supply chains, etc. Local places MIGHT at times be more expensive but they're gonna fill your plate and send you home with leftovers. Same with casual dining like Chilis that are gonna bring value to their customers.

I've had everything from home cooked burgers to Gordon Ramsay's burgers to a $60 burger in NYC at an upscale restaurant but nothing comes close to this place. And I ALWAYS have leftovers for lunch the next day. They're doing great, even through the pandemic they did well which is saying a lot 'cause we had a ton of chain restaurants close in the last few years here. U seem to be arguing that its dumb or not fair... im not disagreeing with u What i meant was... fascinating as in kinda odd, surprising, or kinda dumb/stupid that it happens. As in it makes no sense these places should have financial troubles
