While a EU directive regulates summer time arrangements, whether it has authority over creating separate time zones is another question. According to a Commission official, time zones are a matter for countries themselves, so it’s unlikely that the EU will be able to grant the region’s request." All systems are programmed to use 24 hour clock, so how do they think it will work? It won't If u read the article the idea is quite the opposite actually. But yeah I agree, dumb idea this would never work It may work if they were isolated given very northern regions already have extrely long daylight in summer days and extremely short in winter and might not make a huge difference on day to day life when they are awake vs asleep as they already have to live with beinf awake in darkness in winter and being asleep in daylight in summer... But yeah how would they function with the rest of society? I also wanna ask why no one is discussing possible long term health effects of this. All life on Earth is programed with a 24 hour clock... how would consistently being awake longer at once and consistently sleeping more at once affect us? We know odd sleeping paterns do affect our health a lot

I support the idea of having a place on Earth where people with 26h biological clock can life according to their clock, though 25h would be better (or adding places with 25h time). 25h times could be converted into 24h time like currencies.
