So would they have less days in the year? Or would they start living in the past?

actually, newest research shows (the one linked is rather old) people individually have a time setting, that usually is from 23h to 26h, with the majority around 24h-25h. I support the idea of having a place on Earth where people with 26h biological clock can life according to their clock, though 25h would be better (or adding places with 25h time).

25h times could be converted into 24h time like currencies. Like Georgian calender and older calendars

Its an intriguing idea tho i think logistically difficult. Ud have to somehow screen everyone to find out who has longer clocks and somehow convince those countries to accept a bunch of people to love there...

It would also have to be near north pole where day light hours start to become meaningless because in most parts of the planet the constant 24h reseting i think would throw ppls sleep more out of whack if anything

Then theres figuring out the logistics of how the economy of a place (or places) like that would function with the rest of the world on a 24h clock

I think it would be kind of a logistical nightmare and in practice not work unless they were quite isolated and mostly off the grid

On that note tho, if this is true I wonder if im one of those ppl as I often struggle to feel ready to go to sleep at night but when I do sleep i always wanna sleep like 9h (i never feel rested with 8h) and Ive thought before if a day was longer i might feel better :enigma:

But i do not wanna wake up during the night or go to sleep during the daylight so unless I also moved to North Pole, I would not want a 25h day here thats for sure. Im so sensitive to sunlight, the smallest sunlight seaps thru curtains and blinds wakes me up and its why i can never sleep in on weekends :messga:

1) I myself am part of the 25h-biological clock group, the day is just too short for me and I need this extra hour.

2) Well, I think, you know, I'd compare the global 24h time setting to a hypothetical scenario in which English would be the default language on any place on Earth. If English was the default language of all of humanity, and some people would advocate to switch to, let's say Portuguese or Romanian, people would argue that it would cause a "logistical nightmare" to have more than one language. But it is working and can be done, in fact we have thousands of languages and convert them into another language to communicate. We convert dollars into Euro and Yens.  And we could convert 25h to 24h. We had in history, Roman celander, Chinese calendar, it is possible to convert time. And you are right that it makes a difference whether we are very near north Pole or further away, it would make more sense to have different time settings by nearness to North/South Pole than a standard 24h, in my opinion.

Well its an intreguing idea but i still dont think it makes sense to.

I still think it would a logistical nightmare for that simple fact that the 24h clock is not an arbitrary number. Its based on how long a day actually is on earth

If u tried to change it, the day light would keep shifting to strange hours and i think cause more harm than good tbh. At the end of the day i think the mismatched daylight would affect peoples health more than the fact that some ppls natural clock may not fully align and be constantly reset, it would be a worse evil. Many ppl cannot sleep properly during daylight and thats more detrimental than any minor mismatch in day length with their biological clock. Also having to be awake during the night may also not just create imbalances with melatonin and seratonin, it may trigger depression which is already rampant enough.

Its even worse that it would keep changing so ur body couldnt even get used to being awake at night and asleep at night... u would keep alternating between the two over time making ur internal clock truly out of whack as ud keep resetting it in inconsistent ways

While its an interesting idea i dont think it makes sense to try to change it because I do not believe it would be of net benefit.

So its not just about complicated logistics. Im sure with enough effort u can come up with a system to work on a 25h day. But i dont believe ppl in general would benefit from it. At least not on a global scale
