The 3 dollar budget music video :toofunny: i like her but damn

That's how all of her mvs are, it's sad. For D&D she was given the budget for 1 mv and instead made the visualizers for the tracks.

The Tom's Diner sample is used well (I've never liked that song, so it's a good sign that she made me enjoy it), I like the second verse going into the final chorus. It's a decent enough pop jam but not on the level of her biggest hits, it's missing a little something. It's a shame to see her given a repeatedly low budget as well. She's demonstrating more star power here but the set just isn't showing her off well enough (they seemed hellbent on making her look like Billie Eilish, though, especially in the green-edged trench with the bleach blonde hair). I notice she seems to have fallen into the trap of making the same sound over and over again, this feels interchangeable with the stuff she's been releasing since her debut. I really thought she had it in her to be an MPG when she broke out as she can make very catchy songs and has an amazing voice but it soon became clear that this isn't going to be. She's just too much in her comfort zone to take her career to the next level. She's like Meghan Trainor in that regard.

she's a sweet (sometimes hilarously pretentious) girl making bops, it's so easy to love her lmao

I love the song. I like this girl, she has potential, makes bops but is paid dust by the label and played dirty by her management. I saw her live on her tour and it was one of the best concerts I have been to in a long time. Obviously the tour was low budget but her performance, live singing was enough for me. She can easily become an mpg if her label plays their cards right. Rooting for this girl.

It's evident that her contribution to society is consistently delivering pop songs that play at Forever 21 on loop.

It's right from the start but is most prominent at 0:24-0:36 seconds, the entire chorus basically. I don't know why I'm the only one talking about it or why it's not mentioned as a sample on Wikipedia, just an "Arabian riff." I mean, I recognised it immediately, it's one of the most well known refrains:

Britney even sampled it a few years back too.

It's not being talked about because it's not the same melody.  She's doing a (sort of?) similar "dun-dun-duh-duh-dah" hum over the Arabian riff.  That Arabian riff thing has been used in countless songs.
