Jennifer Lopez quietly rebrands 'This Is Me… Now' tour to be a greatest hits show

Lopez initially announced the trek in February to coincide with the release of her latest album “This Is Me… Now” and its accompanying two films. 



She quietly canceled some of its dates and changed promotional photo last month



The latest rebrand from “This Is Me… Now” to “This Is Me… Live | The Greatest Hits” suggests a pivot from a tour focusing on the new album’s songs to one spanning her discography

I think the relative disinterest in JLo is how commercialised her music and persona are, it feels like 2010 aesthetic rehashed again and again, and there's barely any concept to her 'eras', if we can even call them that. She claims to be authentic but her image is so rooted in perfectionism and looking 'polished' all the time.

Meanwhile Mariah just had a sold out Christmas tour and she’s about to have a sold out Vegas residency with much more expensive tickets than J.Lo’s.

How can you "quietly" change your tour's concept, it's all over the poster? I can imagine this will greatly affect the plans and rehearsals for the tour as the setlist will be based around a lot of new songs and have respective choreography to match what occurred in her movie. She's going to have to do a lot of overtime rehearsals to get this ready in time and be good enough. Her Vegas residency was highly successful so she's clearly trying to replicate that in tour form with the added benefit of it being in your city. It was highly ambitious for her and her team to think she could sell out an arena tour consisting of new material when this is her first album in a decade with no successful singles preceding it and her last huge hit was in 2011. This will also mean she's unlikely to take it worldwide too. And if she can only sell out half an arena, it'll cost more to perform it than it will actually earn. It's weird, she's never been a touring force even at her peak. This is only the third tour she's ever done in her 25 year career. So it's surprisingly so many were to happy to go all the way to Vegas to see her residency. She's known for putting on a good show but people seem to prefer watching it at say, an awards show for free rather than paying to watch it.

Good for her! I regret not going to her Las Vegas residency show a few years ago when tickets were $60 on Groupon on the day of. I was in LV for the weekend and none of my friends wanted to go. 
 

I plan on going to this JLo tour since I’ve never seen her and know she is a fantastic dancer. I hope to get a good spot at a decent price since there is still a good amount of availability.
