im glad Gaga is not on it to be honest.

Why wouldn’t you people want a new music from Gaga period

Nevertheless a collab on a sure-to-be acclaimed album by one of the most acclaimed artists of all time? Of which would provide immense fan service as a follow-up to Telephone and Video Phone? I wouldn’t get this POV tbh :messga:

Oh goodness, Lemonade was always my favourite of hers (yes, better than Renaissance imo), but this might might just top it.

As always her production is so textured and rich. I'm definitely more drawn to the second half of the record when it gets more into electronic/rnb. My immediate favorites so far:

- 16 carriages

- Daughter

- II Most Wanted

- Levii's Jeans

- Ya Ya

- Riiverdance

- II Hands II Heaven

- Sweet Honey Buckiin

Um surprised by the álbum is much better than i expected. I get bored by the songs, there were few Tracks that i listened whole because i enjoyed like riversandancd and spaghetti which is very short. Bodyguard like many has beautiful music, the instrumentation, the colours, arrangement, the variety in her voice etc but it bores me. Its a very good sounding, well thought album from first listen, good composition. I just dont really like it or beyonce on it

I still can't let go of Renaissance, it was so good!! 😭 However, we must persist :traumatica:

I'm at track 20 and I'm vibing SO HARD to this!! I'm also a little emotional over the sounds she's using, it's so inspiring! 😭💜💜💜

I did want this very much. however after listening to act ii 3 times no thanks. I want Gaga on a collab with Beyonce on a song that will be remembered as much as Telephone did. these songs are nothing of the sort and this album would not stand alone before Renaissance. They made the best decision to release it now after the hype from the tour and everyone just saying anything just because it's her without actually having an ounce of knowledge when critiquing the album. If it wins AOTY because of the Jay-Z comment and the timing of this release it will be hilarious.

She was right in that this isn’t a country album really. Strong country influences, but to call it a country album is to ignore completely how intelligently and carefully it combines multiple genres into one listen.

Formatting this like a radio show almost opens her up to exploring a variety of different sounds and twists, and it makes this album so much stronger for it.

This is such a brilliantly crafted, intricate, complex body of work that juggles so many tones and themes that it’s a miracle it all holds together. But the fact that it does I think is a true testament to her strength as an artist and how precise her vision is. Naturally the same club of people who like to discredit her on everything she does are going to have a field day with this, but even their ignorance cannot take away from what is really a remarkable achievement.

She is not the first person in the pop sphere to move into the country influenced territory, but she’s done it better than anyone else off the top of my head. She’s the only one so far who really seems to understand it and it’s history and the significance of the moment rather than just wearing it like a costume.
