If we can teach pre-teens and teens about safe sex, we can teach them about using social media responsibly

Kids aren't as dumb as people like to pretend they are, even with their little brains still developing

You are absolutely right that the government will never invest in that though 'cause the government would rather ban things than regulate them

That was my point. Theres ideal world and theres realistic world. I wasnt saying it cant be done, im saying it wont be done. 

 

If it does, it will only happen in Scandinavia, the only part of the world that seems to use basic common sense for anything 

 

That is until Scandinavia inevitably falls victim to US stupidity that permiates all culture. I already see that here in Canada where politics is becoming more polarized in a very US kinda way  and before it wasnt. We used to have debates. Now we have insults and "alternative facts". Still not on the same level as the US tho (for now)

Well we're the innovators of echo chambers, confirmation bias, and toxic catharsis

Tbh, ban or no ban, people in general need to be taught how to think critically because social media's main downfall is that it immediately reaffirms ignorant and incorrect beliefs
