Do you hold this standard for other countries too though or just Israel? Because you can find plenty, plenty of videos showing war crimes, implicating U.S, Russia, Saudi Arabia etc... Do you think Russia should be dissolved for Bucha where large evidence of war crimes existed? If you genuinely hold this standard for every country not just Israel, then start by tearing up your U.S passport, in case you haven't watched the videos of war crimes committed by U.S soldiers leaked by wikileaks. You are acting exactly like the Israeli far-right. They show horrific footage from October 7th, and try to use it as justification that a Palestinian state cannot exist. Save us the lectures on humanity, you're not any better than them.

Nearly 2/3 of Russia is colonized land, pretty much all of its asian part. And even today they still hold on to territories taken by force after WW2 such as Kaliningrad, and are trying to take Ukraine. "continue to settle on and occupy stolen land" they continue to do that right now. (They just illegally annexed four oblasts in Ukraine) So why a different standard? PartySick 174,218
Just like to remind everyone that criticizing Israel isn't antisemitic. Israel made the decision to elect and enable a genocidal maniac into power and even though they don't like him personally, it's clear on some level that the Israeli people support his actions. At least in a great enough number that they're not dragging him and his entire administration into the streets. In the same way you can hold American citizens accountable for the vast multitude of atrocities committed by our government and military, you can hold Israelis accountable for a genocide and humanitarian crisis happening just down the street while they chill at the beach, attend concerts, and vibe through relatively normal and peaceful lives. Do the people in those regions currently want to be part of Russia or no? Pretty sure the Palestinians would like to retain their national identity and not be under Israeli occupation while, I can only assume, the majority of people in places like Russia or the US where colonizers took over long ago actually identify with the nation currently holding the area. The exception being conflicts, such as Ukraine, where Russia should step off and let the people living there manifest their own identifies and fates. At least I‘m not being selective in my response to global issues based on my political beliefs. Read again. Carefully. I'm not being selective. Israel's situation isn't different and I believe it should be dissolved. They didn't have the right to the land in the first place and they've used the land to make an open air prison for Palestinians. They're an occupying nation and it's illegal to retaliate against Palestine in the first place, but the rules don't apply to them apparently. Now they're going full Nazi Germany and whatever right they have to the land should be nullified imo. The population that feel they can live among their neighbors peacefully can stay and the ones that have a problem with the land reclamation can leave. After all, a huge portion of them already hold dual citizenship. But the Israeli government should 100% to be disbanded and replaced with the people in the land that have suffered from the government's disgusting actions. This is my Hannah Montana™️ lipgloss. Well over the years there is acceptable yes. But you can say the same for Israel. There are 2M Palestinians inside Israel and polls show they feel a sense of belonging (https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/israels-arab-minority-feels-closer-country-war-poll-finds-2023-11-10/) We are talking what is internationally recognized as Israel today, not Gaza, not West Bank. Inside what is internationally recognized as Russia, there is acceptance. Inside what is internationally recognized as Israel, there is acceptance. Russia occupies areas where people don't want to be under Russian occupation. Israel occupies areas where Palestinians also want their own state (West Bank and Gaza). So people using this as an excuse to call for the dissolution of Israel, but not Russia are just hypocrites. I don't call for the dissolution of any UN-recognized country. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe Israel is going anywhere, nor do I think it should. I'm not arguing that point and I think it's ridiculous to expect a whole country to just up and move to where their grandparents came from. They absolutely should respect Palestine's sovereignty though, but they seem to believe they're entitled to the land and to taking the lives of anybody on that land. These statements can slip into generalizations into antisemitism pretty quickly. But I agree with you on the sentiment. I don’t think the interest for Netanyahu lies only in „destroying Hamas“ You're either naive or don't know history for saying that any Israeli government is less worse than the current one As for the antisemtisim card, save it! Had Israel been founded 5 years ago, I'd absolutely say every Israeli should go back to Europe instead of colonizing an entire country. Forming Israel in the first place was a bad decision. But it's nearly a century old at this point. It's established and, to my knowledge, the vast majority of the people there were born there and identify as Israelis. They have a right to exist there now, they need not bear the sins of an 80 year old decision they didn't make. But their government is currently making decisions now that are causing an enormous loss of life. They should do something about it. Well at least you get a pass, because I find it funny when white people in America talk about decolonization abroad but forget that they're living on stolen land In general I don't believe in that though. I think it's better to focus on addressing injusticies and inequalities today rather than trying to relitigate the past. No amount of "decolonization" will bring the 10M+ natives killed back from the dead.
