the whole movie she has a vague feeling they’re being controlled, but she never quite figures it out

I play Spore (made by the same people as The Sims) and it's embarassing how much of their made up language I've committed to memory

It's in this moment that I realise the plot of Barbie really isn't all that original. Its storyline has been a common thread for Sims movie content creators. I distinctly remember watching a movie where a sim becomes aware of the weirdness of living in the sim world like how quickly a firefighter arrives when you burn something and won't bat an eye even when they get called multiple times in a row and how everyone vanishes into thin air when they walk off a lot. He alerts his friends and is suddenly confronted by the guy who created The Sims (in sim form). He warns him not to cause a disturbance or bad things will happen. Eventually, one of his friends is killed by the grim reaper and his entire house vanishes. He admits defeat and complies and then meets an old man who's also aware and he and his last existing friend and they dig a massive hole until they find the sky and jump through it, making them land in the real world (whereupon, it switches to real human footage of the guys wearing the exact same sims clothes) as they say "Told you there was more" then it ends. 

It's hard to imagine it going any other way if a movie was to be made based on the game. But let's be real, we all want to see how they handle the woohoo element. And will they address the controversial mod where you can put a baby on the barbecue?

I play the sims everyday but I’m not sure I actually want this. Sounds like a mess waiting to happen but I’ll keep an open mind.
