I think this is just the limited edition cover she's selling before the album drop and the standard editions will have the horse. I'm not UNhappy, but I think I would prefer the cover with the horse. I'll wait until it drops and get a standard edition or wait until the collector's edition and see what that's about.

I understand wanting some more details to look at. However, the album and this project seems to be about reclaiming American music that originated from Black culture and has been "sanitized" and co-opted. She's emulating the statue of liberty while wearing a protective black hairstyle. The statue of liberty was gifted to us from the French. The sash has her mother's French family name that they got from "Beyoncé" being misspelled on several of her sibling's birth certificates and couldn't get changed because black people were lucky to even get birth certificates at the time. 

The concept is there, mama.

i do not like the aesthetic of this one, however, i love this cover. the meaning behind it is so powerful. i really love that she put this out
