This. Not that his intentions aren't purer or better than his equivalent on the right wing of the spectrum...but I think the whole white-haired old man thing is a massive grift. Just as Donald Trump wants you to think he's some strong man mob boss, and that makes us suspicious, we should also be suspicious when somebody tries marketing themselves as Albus Dumbledore or Gandalf or smn. No politician should be above suspicion
