The only one of these Gaga was really “referencing” / singling out The Fame Ga in was 2018, and that’s because of the 10 year anniversary which she had made a post about too. The ARTPOP one is just a similar vibe, because the whole era was about referencing as much as possible about everything. I believe she was intentionally going back to FameGa during the ARTPOP era, yes She talked about how she went back to her roots for inspiration, with her early love for Andy Warhol being a theme that was reflected in the album. She also revisited some of her iconic TF-era looks for ARTPOP, with examples off the top of my head being the album cover (she chose the FameGa bangs cuz it was recognizable), and the bubble blowing dress (obviously a play on the bubble dress from the Fame Ball) 2 Quote Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
