discotommy 0
Skin...I like it but it was never like anything mind blowing for me. Like Man Down too. I love them both but everyone went crazy over them and I was like, yeah they're great. Loud's first 3 singles are flawless. Not cohesive? Gets old fast? DEFRIENDING YOU TBQFH Man Down always sort of annoyed me until it got a video treatment and I saw it completely differently. I don't find Skin anything mind blowing or innovative, I just think it's so goddamn s-xy.
Shan 0
Not cohesive? Gets old fast? DEFRIENDING YOU TBQFH If you must... Going from Birthday Cake to We All Want Love... not cohesive. It should have led into something similar sounding. I can't listen to the album all the way through either. RATED R THOUGH... is the most cohesive she has ever been. Maybe one day she will get back to that level.

And Skin is super s-xy but I think it just got a bit fluffed up. I don't mean to say people said it was innovative lol.

She's daring to stay in love with someone who is bad for her. The whole album has an edge to it that will stand out on the radio. There are a lot of songs that their base genre is completely different, but they all have sub-genres and overtones that overlap into other genres that make it a whole. The tracklisting makes no sense but as a whole the album is similar. If it were like this maybe you would think different. We Found Love Where Have You Been Talk That Talk Roc Me Out Cockiness Birthday Cake Watch N Learn We All Want Love Drunk On Love Farewell

There IS a theme to TTT, it's just hidden in the crappy way they placed the songs.

I still think the album is split in two. Half of the songs about dirty and raunchy s-x, the other half about being in love. It could have been done better. Michete 1
I need a better Red Lipstick/Saxon mashup that isn't as Nicki-heavy.

Well yeah but they all seem to be directed at the same target but from different points of views and parts of the day (so to speak). I find it odd that some RiRi stans are disappointed with the album. Like even BurningLeo isn't impressed. I am honestly in love with it. I feel like it can't really be compared to RR. It's like Loud's big angry cocky honest sister and RR is the distant cousin who's the superstar. What did I just type :toofunny:

It's pretty obvious some of the songs off TTT were planned to be on the Loud re-release. (We Found Love, Where Have You Been, probably Talk That Talk too.) I've been thinking about putting all my fav songs from TTT and Loud, and just making them one album on itunes.

I feel like Loud was manufactured and popastic and TTT is Loud but with some of Rated R's honesty and brutality, which makes it feel different than Loud. I'm sure they were planned for Loud but were saved because it didn't fit at the time. RiRi had to change her image last year to counteract RR. CuzImAdam 0
Rihanna was amazing last Friday night in Dublin! Forgot to say. Was front an all. Twas amaze :)
Sam 8
I seen Rihanna live last night. It was such a good show. I was at the (very) front, against the barrier, in the middle. She kept pointing to me, and looking to me. Also, I was taking a picture at one point and she lay on the floor and posed for my camera, but I never noticed, and she started laughing when she realised I wasn't paying attention. Awwwwkward. I'll upload my pictures later. They're all pretty brilliant tbh.
