Lulu 1
@JaredEng How many songs does Rihanna have a credit on? @Faiz_Fenty I have it written down somewhere but she's def on a bunch of them! @JaredEng #TTT is the better work of the @rihanna ? @_Loowis as a whole, I think it is @JaredEng: @lucifer269 most of them are uptempo, a bunch of them are dance hall style. Of course, have to have a lot of riri island flavor :excited2:

Danny 8
Actually, scratch that. RihannaΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ΓΕs new record, Talk That Talk, is the dirtiest ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βpopΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ record we haveever heard. We listened to the entirety of the 11-song album, which will hit stores on Monday, November 21, earlier this afternoon here at our Times Square headquarters and can confirm that everyone in attendance left the room with flushed cheeks after experiencing extensive periods of blushing. Now, this is not to say that Rihanna has gone out and recorded the female As Nasty As They Wanna Be; itΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s not simply a s-xually-explicit affair (although, at one point during The-Dream produced track ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βBirthday Cake,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ she does proclaim ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βI wanna f*** you right nowΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬). Rather, Talk That Talk continues the conversation that Rihanna began with her single ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βS&MΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ (off Loud) and, if youΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’ll pardon the Spinal Tap reference, turns it up to 11. Rihanna and her chief partner-in-crime, songwriter Esther Dean (who either wrote or co-wrote at least five songs on the LP), have put together a record that not only oozes s-x, but also revolves almost exclusively around it. Take the albumΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s fifth track, ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βCockiness,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ for example. The Bangladesh-produced banger, which sounds like a vintage-era Neptunes jam, begins with Rihanna telling her lover that ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βI want you to be my s-x slaveΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ and contains the refrain ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βI love it when you eat it.ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ It doesnΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’t stop there; in perhaps the albumΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s most memorable line, Rihanna demands her subject to ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βSuck my cockiness / Lick my persuasion.ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ This line, which got all of the attendees in the room we were in to nervously chuckle, is the kind of line that wouldΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’ve got Rihanna called in front of Congress ifTipper Gore were still running the PMRC, and the kind of song that would make even PrinceΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ΓΕs famed protagonist ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βDarling NikkiΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ squeal. ItΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s not just that track, either. On the Stargate-produced ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βRoc Me Out,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ RiRi complains that ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βYouΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’re taking too long to get my head on the ground / And my feet in the clouds,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ before cooing, ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βIΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’ve been a bad girl, daddy.ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ And during ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βWatch And Learn,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ produced by up-and-comer Hit-Boy, she goes to great lengths to detail how she wants it on the bed, the floor, and the couch, before turning the tables and not-so-subtly instructing that ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βItΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s your turn now / Watch and learn now / Watch and learn how.ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ Trust us, the things sheΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s teaching in this song certainly arenΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’t taught in schools (at least not without a permission slip signed by your parents). All that being said, this album sounds positively MAMMOTH and will no doubt continue RihannaΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s dominance on the pop charts for at least the next year and change. ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βWhere Have You Been,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ which was written by Top 40 formula crackers Dr. Luke and Esther Dean and produced by the hit maker du jour Calvin Harris, will almost certainly be RihannaΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s biggest club smash since ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βDonΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’t Stop The Music.ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ The chorus features a sweeping, trance-ish transition that will bowl over dancefloor denizens in clubs all over the world, and the bass in the song is so monstrous (in a good way!) that it will make you want to trade in your factory-installed car speakers for a top-of-the-line sound system. And weΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’ve gotten six paragraphs deep into this preview without even mentioning Jay-ZΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s guest vocals on the albumΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s fourth song and title track, ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βTalk That Talk,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ which isnΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’t quite on the level of ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βUmbrella,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ but is a lock for the Billboard Top Ten whenever Def Jam decides to release it as a single. And ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βDrunk On LoveΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬? Oh boy, this one is going to please Williamsburg hipsters to their core. ItΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s built on a foundation of The XXΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ΓΕs ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βIntro,ΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ which gives it instant indie cred, but Stargate smartly takes Jamie XXΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ΓΕs melody line and transforms the beat into something so massive that your iPod earbuds are almost guaranteed to explode. While RihannaΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s Talk That Talk isnΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’t a record that youΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’re going to want to listen to with the kiddies in the room (at least not sans EARMUFFS!), itΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s far and away the most cohesive album that sheΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s recorded to date. ItΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s not a concept record, per se, but the thematic consistency of this albumΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s lyrical contentΓΒ’Γ’β¬Òβ¬shout out to Esther Dean, a true freak if weΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’ve ever heard one!ΓΒ’Γ’β¬Ò⬠and the epic soundscapes that Stargate, Calvin Harris and crew have created make this, from start to finish, the most aurally satisfying record of the six full-length albums she has released. ItΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s got at least five or six singles that have a shot at making a huge impact on the charts (ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βWe Found LoveΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ has already hit #1), and when itΓΒ’Γ’β¬ÒβΒ’s all said and done, should put Rihanna neck-and-neck in the running with BeyoncΓΖΒ© for the most successful female solo artist of her era (not to mention, earning her a plaque next to Madonna in the Hall of Fame for All-Time Most Sexually Provocative Female Solo artists). TALK THAT TALK TRACKLIST (and partial list of credits) 1. ΓΒ’Γ’βˆ βU The OneΓΒ’Γ’βΒ¬ (produced by Dr. Luke) 2.
