Consider this is Gaga’s 3rd film in a lead role. Joaquin has done considerable more and is a seasoned actor with awards and tangible box office receipts over a much lengthier period of time to back it up. He was also in the first film and it is his character in the name of the film. The first film was a billion dollar grossing film resting almost entirely on his performance, so it is hard to tell how well the sequel will perform in comparison. All things considered she is being paid fairly well given her experience in acting.

She’s still young in terms of acting, yes she brings in the money but once she stars in MASSIVE films and wins Oscars then she’ll get that. Id be shocked if she didn’t win an Oscar this time around or at least be seen as “robbed” of best actress.

I also feel like Warner are gonna try and throw her into ANY film they want to be massive. I bet she gets offered DOZENS of leading and supporting roles after this

Her and Joaquin alone cost almost 1/4th of the budget, then they built sets instead of using on-location for the majority of the film (the parts we haven’t seen), the marketing, IMAX screen costs, Insurance, the extras, the crew, the director… if anything it’s EASY to spend that on a movie like this nowadays. If anything it’s expected.

we haven't even seen the movie and already she is robbed? I mean, even the best actresses in the history of cinema don't get nominated for every movie they make, and Gaga is already robbed for a movie that isn't even out yet?

I don't think that either 12m or 20m are a fair pay. Should be less. The amount of money is ridiculous. But the pay also should be even between the two main characters. And I'm happy for gaga that she got a high payed role
