StrawberryBlond 14,255
Surprised no one's talking about this so thought I should make a well-deserved thread. Paloma Faith released her 6th album, The Glorification of Sadness yesterday, an album dealing with the break-up with her long term partner and father of her children. Promising to be her most vulnerable album yet, the title says it all. Tracklist: 1. Sweatpants 2. Pressure (featuring Kojey Radical) 3. God in a Dress 4. How You Leave a Man 5. There's Nothing More Human Than Failure 6. Bad Woman 7. Cry on the Dance Floor 8. Say My Name 9. Let It Ride 10. The Big Bang Ending 11. Eat **** and Die 12. Divorce 13. Hate When You're Happy 14. Enjoy Yourself 15. I Am Enough 16. Mirror to Mirror 17. Already Broken Honestly, I feel like this is her best album ever. Her last few albums just fell away from how good she started out and I felt she was getting too commercial but this felt like Paloma in her truest form and some of it was so sad. Basically every track was good, but the ultimate cream of the crop were God In A Dress, How You Leave A Man, Bad Woman, Let It Ride and Already Broken. I was also so pleased to discover she co-wrote with the underappreciated Kelsey Karter on 2 of those tracks and the lead single was surprisingly co-written with Charlie Puth and Elle King! There were definitely touches of early Lana Del Rey production on the earlier tracks (I literally heard an exact piece of production directly lifted) in the best possible way and so much of it felt so cinematic. This should definitely be considered a landmark break-up classic but it looks like it will sadly remain an obscure gem.
Brooke Hoegan 1,018
Was waiting for this, thanks I didn't check the release date, funny - wouldn't have thought it would come out literally in a time I would be needing such an album so much...
Anderson123 36,206
I’ve never listened to her so maybe this is a good time to do it with a vulnerable album.

Bronco 7,245
Definitely agree with you that this is one of her best ever albums. Its definitely the best album she's had since Fall to Grace. Also feels like the most adventurous album she's done sonically. Eat **** & Die had me excited since the title reveal and it delivers so hard. Crying on the Dancefloor is soooo different for her and it works so well. God in a Dress & the 2 singles are also certified bangers.
