Arcanum 5,210
Considering that 3 fascist political parties are in parliament and that the one ruling is judged for bashing freedom of speech constantly+ the endless hate from the orthodox church, this was a shock. I guess as a country member of European Union that wants to hold a prestige you have to follow rules. There's no other way this is justified. The current prime minister when asked in an interview some years back, was blatantly negative about same sex marriage and adoption. I don't believe that the intention was as good as it seems. We got a long way to go because even though it is legal, I doubt that it will be easy to adopt and raise a child into such a homophobic society. HOWEVER, it's definitely a step forward. I pray that someday all the people will co-exist in harmony. Hopefully, the next step is to separate church from the government. Even though it is, I can't stand that for every important social matter, church intervenes in such a negative way and is given such a screen time. They literally gave hate speeches all the previous time, which is a serious crime. Yet, no one pressed charges. I Wantth your Love...I Wantth your Love. RudraCNG 15,506
Omg reading some Greek users on this thread I realize how little I know of nowadays Greece and how I misjudged it based on classical Greece. Anyways, congrats, Greece.

palma 8,909
OMG YAAAS If it's legal in Greece now maybe it can get legalized in Turkey in about 500 years I am jealous but well done Greece! I am actually a little surprised it took this long. I lived in Greece for some months and even the elder people (at least in urban spaces) were mostly indifferent towards queer people if not welcoming. I must admit I'm a little gagged this happened under ND administration though. Is there some reason my LG7 isn't here? Has she died or something? There are a lot more beautiful greek islands As a Greek I totally agree about Myconos. Paros is the real queen IMO. More affordable than Myconos, better beaches and better food. My boyfriend has a house there and we are spending our vacation there for the last 2 years. It's magical. Paxi was one of the best places I've ever been as well. The most beautiful beach I have ever been
