I'm just imagining Gaga's version of Plastic Hearts but even punchier, and I can't contain my excitement. Like y'all...imagine a mix between BTW and Plastic Hearts. :bradley: I would collapse.

finally some braincells on this forum :tony:

until she breaks away from a major label, her music will always be made to appeal to a wider audience

i can only hope that one day we get a pure gaga album, uninfluenced by label executives wanting more money

Yeah I mean interscope literally added Bloodpop to her project (Joanne) because they didn’t like the fact it wasn’t commercial enough. Hence why we got songs like PI, DIC and JW which are closer to her pop sounds than the others on the album. (Although ironically the most successful song was an adult contemporary ballad written by a country writer- which is why most people for some reason think Joanne is country when it’s Pop-Rock and Adult Contemporary).

If anything they would push her to make more adult contemporary ballads and collaborate with popular artists this time around; because whether we like to admit it or not that’s the only way she’s gotten hits in the last 10 years :rip: (Shallow, MR, Rain on Me)

Interscope would never allow her to suddenly put out a full fledged non-pop record, the closest they’d probably let her go again is BTW ala Government Hooker, Judas or Electric Chapel- which were still very much electropop songs.

I would actually live for her going independent. She wouldn't gaf about stems and stuff leaking if she wasn't with a label

on the contrary she would probably be more bothered, because she already hates leaks because she doesn’t like half baked versions of her music out in the public sphere. Image spending hundreds of thousands of her own money to make her own music independently, and then someone suddenly releases a song that cost you say $1k to make. You’d be pissed.

i'm talking more about stems of finished songs, once they've already been released. not that I'd refuse a few demos if they popped up :stalkga:

Even so, any unofficial release she can’t make money off of if she were independent (which she never will be because she loves her big stages, gigs, funding etc far too much to become a starving artist again) would be rotten because every stem and instrument would’ve taken hours upon hours and thousands of dollars of studio time to make. If she were to become indie she would need to be a lot less flashy, and lot more money oriented to stay the same.

The perfect argument to sell them then if they're so expensive to make. I mean how many of us here would jump at the chance to legally buy Gaga stems? Bobby, the time is now.

You can’t buy them, but you can buy masters of the songs themselves which is what happened to Taylor swift behind the scenes and forced her to re-record all her old music

If they wanted to they could make anything happen. They reissued Britney's Glory with a Japanese bonus track due to fan demand. Yes that would have included a bit of legal wrangling but they made it happen.

Not that I think putting stems up for sale realistically would lol I'm just thinking out loud

These pics have got to be old. She looked very different at the super bowl. Much fuller in the face.

EXACTLY! The way this has hardly been mentioned is crazy! Not only her face but her body as well. Did no one really look at her during the pre Super Bowl performance or her walking to and from the stadium? Like even that huge jacket and fringe dress in no way hid the fact that her body is vastly different than the one sitting in those pics. Not to mention the fullness of her face! These pics are all from last summer/fall.

She didn’t say that about Joanne :traumatica:

I mean she kinda implied it though. It was clear that she was struggling to get where she wanted with LG5 and didn’t walk in with a clear vision as she had on past albums and then met Mark and they wound up doing Joanne in 6 months while she did ASIB music also.
