What a bizarre comment to make. Whenever I see older singers act like this, I feel like they just tarnish their reputation and I lose all respect for them. Dolly Parton is the perfect example of an icon who is so positive and kind to the next generation. She is both respected as an artist and a person.

Yeah, I'm no longer a big Ed Sheeran fan but there are lots of music/musicians that would be forgotten long before GP forgets Ed's hits. Lots of less timeless material out there.... and that's ok.

As a fellow redhead, I'd really like to implore people to stop using such vulgar and disrespectful terminology to refer to us and our hair colour. It's odd how there is no well known phrase in our society that similarly derides people with other hair colours even though each hair colour has its stereotypes. I've never heard "blond/brunette bollocks" or "blond/brunette pubes" thrown at fair haired or dark haired people and have it thought to be funny. Despite black haired people claiming that there's jokes to be made about dark hair down there, I've never seen or heard of them, it's all aimed at us. I don't know why red hair to any extent is considered funny or why our pubic hair is unnecessarily sexualised in a negative way. It causes much distress to us especially when we grow up surrounded by immature kids. I suffered a very embarrassing and humiliating experience on a bus in high school when this jumped-up little twerp kept saying "ginger pubes" to me in front of everyone and as the bus was packed, I had no way of moving and had to stand looking down at him seated in front of me. Nobody said a thing about it, even though, as adults, they would've had the upper hand in dispensing authority. At worst, this kind of insult could be regarded as sexual harassment and should be treated as such. And not just when it's a man aiming at a woman. Men aiming it at other men isn't funny either and I don't care if "it's just banter" or "they can take it." This is 2024. Enough of shaming and ridiculing redheads, I'm sick of it.
