mamo 17,331
I'm not sure if ahead of its time is the right phrase? Yes, it set the tone for so many other popstars cowboy inspired era's but it felt very much in the moment. Also at the end of the day, Joanne is still considered a "pop" album with many genre influences including country etc. I do wish the album as a whole was more cohesive sonically/thematically though. Red 93,720
Okay you can try to convince me ARTPOP was ahead of its time but Joanne is too much If you see me posting like crazy, I'm either bored or procrastinating.

Maxine Puth 9,052
People who call Joanne a country inspired album either haven’t listened to the album or have no idea what country is Theres a solid three country inspired songs on that album, we’re better off calling it a rock album or The Fame a hip hop album Edited February 12 by Maxine Puth 13 3
