it's out next month on march 8

Fair enough. I remember thank u next having the title track and 7 rings out, then she released break up with your girlfriend during album release week and that was it. Can’t wait to hear the whole album from start to finish! Hope the wait is worth it, it’s one month.

she released imagine prior to the release of the album too, and honestly i feel like this shows the crux of the issue. releasing one single before the album isn't particularly egregious, but previously artists would almost always release a promotional single too, something that's dying out and thus making release cycles feel less interesting,

Which means yes, and? underperformed so they’re not sure which direction to go in so instead they’re dropping the whole album and seeing which song sticks and they’ll drop that one.
