Gaga herself stated that the FAME was never about the money or actual fame, FAME was about FEELING famous as in being confident in your ability and in your work. She literally said she was always "famous", a perfect analogy for a starting artist trying to make it in pop music imo

using examples from the fame is just weird. i interpret that entire album as satirical and a commentary on materialism and fame, not embracing it.

if anything, he should use examples over the last 7 years or so. this is not to insult her but she has definitely become more deserving of the critique. the medication commercial, HLs, Tudor watch/champagne/etc partnerships.

Fashion was never officially released by Gaga. Bill using an unreleased song as an example shows his team had to scrap the bottom of the barrel to find a song from Gaga that would push their narrative. 

Yes, she is materialistic in certain ways, but she has never made that a feature of her music. She is basically the worst artist they could have picked to make their point on that.
